Steffi Carter is a professional international dancer and choreographer, certified ballet teacher, and creator of Renversé Ballet. She began dancing when she was seven, and by seventeen she'd become a principal artist for the Southern California Ballet, where she represented the United States in the Cecchetti International Classical Ballet Competition (Calgary 2008).
Steffi received her political science degree from the University of Chicago where she served as Head of Teaching for University Ballet and choreographer for University Theater. Steffi has been accepted into the Dance Politics & Sociology MA at University of Roehampton (London, England).

Steffi's professional performing career includes San Diego Ballet (soloist, choreographer, co-producer of the now-annual Dance Gallery, and Dancer Liaison to the Board of Directors, and official blogger), The London Ballet Company (principal guest artist and Head of Social Media & Special Events), and Thodos Dance Chicago (soloist). Steffi has originated roles and movement by Arturo Fernandez (LINES Ballet), Drew Jacoby (Netherlands Dance Theatre), and Luis Martinez (Joffrey Ballet). She enjoys freelance, multi-industry roles abroad.
Steffi's teaching career began before her performing career, and includes A&A Ballet Chicago (Head of Children's Programs), New West Ballet (teacher, principal artist, repetiteur), Dance Ireland Dublin (resident choreographer), and more. She loves teaching as much as she loves performing.
